Social Groups Registration
2017-2018 Social Skills Groups Application
**Please bring completed application with you if you are scheduled for an assessment**
2017-2018 Social Skills groups will begin in October 2017! Participants will be placed for the full year in their group. We will include the usual breaks during the year for holidays and school breaks, following the school calendar.
It's important to note, we WILL accept applications after the groups begin. Participants will be placed based upon their abilities and fit with existing groups. We will work to ensure participants are enrolled in at least one group as appropriate.
A registration form must be completed in full and submitted along with a $75.00 non-refundable application processing fee to our office EACH session for consideration.
If you are applying for a scholarship you must indicate scholarship on the application. The scholarship application must be sent in along with the registration.
The registration fee is a flat rate, meaning that each session, participants are charged a total of $75.00 to register for as many of our groups as they would like. Participation in any of the groups that we offer requires this fee.
The $75.00 application processing fee is not covered by medical assistance programs and does not guarantee placement in a group.
1. Beginning in October 2015, participants are invited sign up for a full year of social skills groups. Groups are scheduled to meet for approximately 30 weeks and all group sites follow the Johnston Public School’s schedule in terms of breaks and school closings.
2. The $75.00 Registration is required for all applicants and applications will not be processed without this payment.
3. Self-Pay Participants have three options for group payment.
b. Pay for 10 weeks prior to group start date; then pay for remaining weeks prior to January 2018.
c. Apply for a scholarship prior to group start date, must be submitted with proof of income and/or a copy of 2017 tax returns.
5. Participants will not be placed in a group if there are any outstanding balances for previous groups and/or summer camp.
Additional Fees in 2017-2018
*Please note our application fee is now $75.00. Unfortunately, we have also had to increase our Self-Pay Group Fee to $30.00 (Per Class/Per Week). These costs will also apply to our participants over 21 years of age.
Participants in Skills for Life, The Club and Club, Jr. will be required to pay for fees associated with field trips. We are planning to limit the number of community groups and to host activities at The Autism Project that are less expensive and related to curriculum and goals.

Please include your scholarship application with your registration if applicable. Scholarships will not be processed without the supporting financial documents.
Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and new financials are required annually.
Placement notifications will be made by email ONE WEEK prior to the group start date.
